Bahrain Teachers College, University of Bahrain, Initiates Higher Diploma Program in Special Education

At the beginning of the current academic year 2022-2023, the Bahrain Teachers College launched a new program named (Higher Diploma in Special Education). The new program aims to raise the skills and performance levels of special education teachers in the Ministry of Education.

Nearly 100 male and female teachers of the Ministry of Education have enrolled in the program. Bahrain Teachers College is currently providing a high level of support to teachers working with students with various learning needs. The program, which will take one academic year to complete, has been developed using a rigorous process of international and regional benchmarking with highly ranked universities.

Shaikha Hala Al Khalifa, faculty member at BCT, has undertaken the development of this program, shaping it into an innovative, practice-based program that will expose teachers to best practice and modern strategies to ensure that all students can perform at a high level.
