College of Engineering at UOB and Bahrain Society of Engineers Discuss Expanding Cooperation

The College of Engineering at UoB and the Bahrain Society of Engineers discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of training College students, holding joint international and regional conferences, and launching Bahrain Society of Engineers Award for the best graduation project.
The Dean of the College of Engineering, University of Bahrain, Dr. Sheikha Haifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa made this statement when she received a delegation from the Bahrain Society of Engineers, led by the President of the Society, Dr. Dheya A. Aziz Tawfiqi.
During the meeting held at the College of Engineering in Isa Town, the two parties discussed ways to develop cooperation, especially regarding training, BSE membership, holding events, and BSE’s scholarships to study engineering at UoB.
Dr. Sheikha Haifa bint Ibrahim stated, “It’s a pleasure to meet the prestigious Bahrain Society of Engineers delegation, which celebrates its 50th anniversary. We look forward to expanding cooperation with the Society and draw on its expertise through various possible means such as advisory boards memberships and committees, and representing the Bahrain Society of Engineers
in the College activities.”
For his part, Dr. Tawafiqi welcomed revitalizing cooperation between the Society and the College, lauding the College’s outputs, and the levels of its graduated cadres over the past decades. He also mentioned that BSE is willing to help qualify the College graduates and integrate them in the labor market.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Manager of Bahrain Society of Engineers, Dr. Hamid Abdullah, and members of the College of Engineering Development Committee, including Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Raed Ibrahim Al-Jowder, Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, Dr. Eslam Hamdi El-Ghonaimy, Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Osama Misbah Al-Jamal, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Dr. Mohammad Majid Al-Khalidi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, Dr. Nihal Ali Al-Morbati, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Abrar Mustafa Habib, and Administrative Assistant of the Dean’s Office , the College of Engineering, Rima Abdul Rahman Al-Baker.
