College of Science at UoB holds A Virtual Open Day for Students of Summer Practical Training 

 

The College of Science at the University of Bahrain (UoB) recently held a virtual open day on the MS Teams platform, during which it met with college students who are expected to register for a practical training course for the summer semester for the current academic year 2020-2021. 

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Practical Training Committee at the College of Science, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Abdullah Ali Al-Mutawa, spoke about the objectives of the practical training course, its educational outcomes, its duration, its importance, and its role in refining and developing students’ scientific and practical skills. 

Moreover, Dr. Al-Mutawa gave a detailed explanation of the workplaces available to college students from all disciplines to receive their practical training, pointing to the mechanism of registration in the course, and ways to communicate with academic coordinators in each department of the College of Science at the University. 

More than 140 male and female students from all departments at the College of Science registered in the meeting, in which the Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Majeda Abdulaziz Ahmed, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences, Dr. Maysoon Nidham Awadh, participated. 

It is intended to hold another similar meeting at the end of next June, coinciding with the beginning of the summer semester and the start of the practical training period for students.
