European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) Advisor Reviews Collaboration Opportunities with the University of Bahrain

Mr. Martin Gustal, European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, reviewed the level of research collaboration with the University of Bahrain, during a lecture he gave at the College of Information Technology. Mr. Gustal mentioned the Organization’s vision, mission and objectives, in addition to joint research achievements, and future aspirations with the University of Bahrain.
Mr. Gustal spoke about collaboration opportunities in the areas of information technology, big data, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing.
The College of Information Technology has completed the first collaboration project in the field of computing, and the development of software of data processing in the experiment of the muon detector, which Research & Teaching Assistant Abdulla Subah has worked on as part of his master’s thesis. Sabah is currently working on another part of the project for his PhD thesis.
It is worth noting that the collaboration between the University of Bahrain and the European Organization for Nuclear Research began in 2019 with the training of some university students in the summer program, from the College of Information Technology, College of Science, and College of Engineering.
