The efficiency and effectiveness of human resources is key for the University of Bahrain’s success and sustainability, as it is an important element for achieving the university’s national strategy.
Human resources play an active role in planning the workforce’s needs, regularly updating policies and systems, and complying with them according to the government’s directives. As well as adhering to the principle of equal opportunities, diversity in recruitment and attracting human capacities of the academic and administrative bodies, to raise and improve the university level and achieve the desired goals.
In the Personnel Department, we strive to optimize our use of the available resources and to maintain human resources through the permanent development of skills and capabilities, apply the performance management program, and reward and motivate staff.

OVERVIEW
The Department of Personnel Affairs contributes to achieving the University’s vision and its sustainability by managing aspects related to human resources. The organizational structure of the Personnel Affair’s department has been adopted to achieve the efficiency and development of human resources, as it contains the following administrative organizations: recruitment, human resources services, organization and planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing human resources programs related to employment, scholarship, administrative training, administrative organization, manpower planning, promotions, transfer, secondment, assignment, incentive program, bonuses, health insurance, retirement and end of service in accordance with the Civil Service Law and its executive regulations, university regulations and the law of its establishment and its amendments.
- Conducting organizational studies related to tasks, structures and job descriptions with the concerned authorities within the university and updating them according to future needs.
- Preparing and reviewing employees’ salaries, wages and benefits monthly.
- Preparing, analyzing and providing appropriate manpower reports and recommendations.
- Managing and following up the arrival and leaving system for employees.
- Managing the records of academic, administrative and scholarship employees.
- Following up the annual leave plan for employees and managing all leaves of all kinds.
- Providing the necessary advice and support to all administrative units regarding human resources.
SERVICES
- Announcing academic and administrative vacancies.
- Preparing reports and job statistics for the academic and administrative bodies.
- Issuing identification cards for employees.
- Issuing certificates of work, experience and salary.
