Dr. Al-Madhoob as Head of The Department of Architecture & Interior Design at UoB

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, issued a decision appointing Dr. Huda Mohammed Al-Madhoob, assistant professor in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design, College of Engineering, as head of the department.
Dr. Al-Madhoob expressed her thanks and appreciation to the President of the University and the Dean of the College of Engineering for their trust, expressing her aspiration to achieve further growth and development for the programs of the Department of Architecture and Interior Design.
The Department of Architecture and Interior Design offers three undergraduate programs, namely: Bachelor’s in Architecture, Bachelor’s in Interior Design, and Bachelor’s in Environmental Architecture, and at the postgraduate level, the department offers a Master’s in Architecture program.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Madhoob expressed her aspiration to benefit from the experience gained from the Corona pandemic to develop teaching methods and tools to ensure the quality of education, stressing that she will continue to work to strengthen the partnership between UoB and regional and international universities.
Furthermore, she stated that “Among the most important topics that I look forward to have interest in are: strengthening the joint work between the University and companies operating in the engineering sector, working on developing scientific curricula and educational materials, designing study programs for higher education, and qualifying students and preparing them in line with the needs of the labor market, in order to enhance their chances of getting a job after graduation”.
It is worth noting that Dr. Huda Al-Madhoob holds a PhD from Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management (CPM) at University College London (UCL).
Dr. Al-Madhoob manages the Netx Lab research center that specializes in the study and analysis of complex enterprise networks, as its main research interests include: organizational behaviors, supply chain management, and the application of social network analysis in the study of construction networks based on construction projects.
Also, Al-Madhoob received several scientific and appreciation awards, the most important of which are: Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management – Innovative Use of Project Management Practices – Academic Category 2019
