Dr. Al-Mudhahki Discusses Cooperation with A Delegation From “Batelco” UoB: Increasing Studies Related to Communication Systems and Networks

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, confirmed that the University continues to expand studies related to the engineering of communications systems and networks, and artificial intelligence at the academic and research levels.
This came during her reception of a delegation from Batelco, which included the CEO Michael Venter, General Manager Corporate Communication and Sustainability Sheikh Bader bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and General Manager Commercial Sector, Abdullah Danesh.
Dr. Al-Mudhahki noted that the role played by Batelco in supporting the national economy and attracting graduates, stressing the endeavor to improve prospects for cooperation with the telecommunications company, and to prepare the University’s students to take advantage of the opportunities offered to them.
Also, she stated that “The University’s College of Engineering has recently offered a Master’s in Science in Communications and Networks Engineering, and the College has offered graduate students several proposals for scientific studies in the fields of communications,” expecting several solid studies to be accomplished in this field.
For his part, Batelco’s CEO, Michael Venter, praised the University’s output and research efforts to find solutions to challenges, expressing the Company’s aspiration for more cooperation and coordination in various fields, and pointing out that the Company has been attracting the University’s graduates to work in its various facilities.
