The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, has approved the admission results of the students applying to join the University for the academic year (2023/2022) and who have met the admission requirements, stressing that the National University continues to accommodate secondary school graduates with a GPA of 70% or more.
“The University has received more than 10200 admission applications, and it has been able to increase its capacity in view of the large number of applicants, thanks to the great support that the National University receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, and the continuous follow-up by His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.” Dr. Al-Mudhahki stated, noting that this generous support reflects the continuous confidence in the University, which enables it to carry out its roles.
As the Deanship of Admission and Registration indicated that students can view the admission results by entering the e-government portal (bahrain.bh) for all students in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Also, students (Bahrainis and foreigners) from inside and outside the Kingdom can view their results through the student information management system at https://sis.uob.edu.bh as of (Tuesday) corresponding to August 16, 2022.
Furthermore, the Deanship called on applicants to read the contents of UoB’s bylaws and regulations, and register their approval, followed by confirming acceptance by paying fees in the period from Tuesday, August 16, 2022, to Sunday, August 21, 2022, and after this period, the University will announce the beginning of the period to change the desired majors for students who have completed the process of confirming their acceptance and wish to obtain a seat in another academic program. The process of studying and meeting applications will be conducted according to the admission requirements, in the event that there are vacancies in these majors.
For her part, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Amal Zayed Al-Zayed, stressed the importance of students wishing to join the University to complete the process of confirming admission electronically during the mentioned period, by paying fees through the e-government portal, payment devices, or SADAD application, to preserve their study opportunity and their seats in the academic programs in which they were accepted, noting that failure to confirm admission during the mentioned period is an acknowledgment by the student to not join the University, bearing in mind that scholarship students will be automatically confirmed according to the scholarships they have obtained.
Also, the Dean of Admission and Registration indicated that students will be later informed about the dates for the study schedules, and the completion of registration procedures for the first semester, which begins on 17 September 2022.
The Deanship of Admission and Registration stated that some students who applied to join the University and did not have vacancies in their desired majors were included in the waiting list, and they must enter through the student information management system at https://sis.uob.edu.bh to reconfirm their request to join the University, and to choose new preferences for the majors they would like to join according to the available vacancies.
