Dr. Al-Mudhaki Calls for Highlighting Bahrain Experience in Combating the Coronavirus Pandemic and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhaki, stressed the importance of highlighting and studying the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating Coronavirus (Covid-19), being a role model in combating the pandemic and fulfilling sustainable development commitments at the same time.
Al-Mudhaki made this statement when she received the PhD student in Environment and Sustainable Development Jaafar Mohammad Houishel Al-Musayedin, who presented her with a copy of his book “The National Efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Combating the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic and Maintaining Sustainable Development Goals”.
The book, published by the German international publishing house “Lambert”, reviews the findings of a study by the researcher about sustainable development in Bahrain, its health system before and during the pandemic, and the pathway in implementing sustainable development goals during this period.
Dr. Al-Mudhaki lauded the efforts of the researcher and the findings of his study, calling for publishing more studies and research carried out by postgraduate students, whether related to the original thesis or other courses, as they scientifically document this period to benefit from this experience.
The supervisor of the study, Dr. Najat Ishaqi, the former faculty member at the College of Engineering, University of Bahrain, and the publication’s review official, Taghreed Al-Dhiabat, participated in the meeting.
The president of UoB expressed her pleasure with the findings of the study, regarding Bahrain’s continued achievement of the sustainable development goals and acceleration of implementation of these goals, despite the pandemic conditions.
For his part, the student Jaafar Al-Musayedin extended his thanks to the president of the university for praising the book and encouraging him to publish more scientific studies. He stressed that the tremendous efforts of the coordination committee and Bahrain Task helped him complete this study.
