Dr. AMudhaki Lauds Women’s Contributions to Sustainable Development and Drive for Change

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen AlMudhahki, congratulated women in general, and academians, administrators, researchers and students of UoB in particular, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is annually celebrated on March 8.
Dr. AlMudhahki lauded women’s contributions to sustainable development and drive for change in political, economic, social, academic, environmental and health fields.
The President of UoB lauded the tireless and continuous efforts undertaken by the Supreme Council for Women headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, spouse of His Majesty the King, and her role in the development of women’s affairs and enabling them to participate alongside men in the comprehensive development programs, and their active contribution to the advancement of the Kingdom Bahrain in all fields.
Dr. AlMudhaki referred to women’s excellence in the academic and research fields, and their achievements in environmental projects, renewable energy, climate change, and various initiatives related to sustainability.
The United Nations celebrates International Women’s Day for 2022 under the theme “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”.
