Dr. Fay Bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, Dr. Nehal Al Murbati and Dr. Tamadur Al Fahal from the Department of Architecture and Interior Design at the College of Engineering participated in the Twelfth International Conference on Design Principles & Practices, held at Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona, Spain from 5–7 March 2018.

Around 250 participants, including academics, designers and architects, travelled to the Conference from all corners of the globe and represented a broad range of disciplines and perspectives.

On the importance of participating in international conferences, Dr. Al Khalifa said, ‘such events, which encompass a wide array of design paradigms and practices, help us explore new areas of design and expand our knowledge as academics through linking the theoretical lessons with the latest design trends.’
