During The Annual Conference and In the Presence of The Dean UoB’s College of Arts Receives the “Premier Institution” Award from ASIC

The Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Bulaila, received the Premier College Award from the British Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC), during his participation in the annual conference organized by ASIC, on Monday and Tuesday (9-10 May 2022). The College of Arts earned this international award for obtaining the highest levels of international evaluation of its programs for the next four years (2022-2026).
During his speech at the Conference, the Dean of Arts stressed that this is a great honor for UoB, and at the same time a new challenge to maintain excellence at all levels, especially the academic programs offered by the College, meeting the needs of the local and global labor market, and achieving the goals of sustainable development and the Economic Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Bulaila extended his thanks to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASIC Dr. Maurice Dimmock, the CEO of the Agency, Dr. Lee Hammond, the Head of the Accreditation Team, Dr. Lawrence Watson, and the Chair of the Conference, Dr. Leslie Hutton, for the global award presented to the College.
Moreover, Dr. Bulaila praised the efforts of the academic and administrative body in the College, and said: “This international accreditation, and the deserved award, would not have been achieved without the encouragement and follow-up of the President of the University, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, and the great efforts made by the work team in the college, starting with the Director of the Quality Office, Dr. Amani Al-Halwaji, and the head of the Curriculum Committee, Dr. Madani Othman, and the heads of departments in the College, namely: Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, Dr. Dhiya Al-Ka’abi, Head of the Department of Social Sciences, Dr. Mouza Al-Dawi, Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Sheikha Al-Junaid, Head of the Department of English Language and Literature and Dr. Ghada Ahmed Jassim. , and the head of the Department of Media, Tourism and Arts, Dr. Kamal Al-Gharbi, in addition to the efforts of the members of the College Council, and the various college committees who deserve all thanks and praise.
