Faculty Member at Bahrain Teachers College Qualifies for the Challenges Phase in the National Project “Lamea”

The faculty staff at the Bahrain Teachers College at the University of Bahrain, Shaikha Hala bint Ali Al Khalifa, has qualified from among 30 participants to the challenges phase of the second edition of the National Project “Lamea” for the promising youth leaders, sponsored by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs. The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs is implementing the project in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration “BIPA” and the National Bank of Bahrain.

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahki, congratulated Shaikha Hala Al Khalifa for qualifying to the challenges phase in this pioneering national project, wishing her every success. Dr. Al Mudhahki stressed that the University of Bahrain is keen on encouraging and motivating youth for the sake of advancement of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

110 institutions from the public and private sector participated in the second edition of the project, with 192 male and female applicants, 66 of whom have managed to qualify to the phase of the second form “case study”, then 40 participants have qualified to the phase of “aptitude test”. At the end of the playoffs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs announced that only 20 participants had qualified to the challenges phase.

Lamea aims to create new youth leaders, raise the level of performance of the new leaders and pay attention to the Bahraini elite capable of motivating their peers.
