HETL Elects Director of the Excellence Unit at UoB as The Director of the Association ‘s Branch in the Kingdom

The Higher Education Teaching & Learning Association (HETL) has elected the Director of the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al-Jahromi, to be the director of the Association’s branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Association’s election of the director of the Excellence Unit, Dr. Al-Jahromi, as director of the Association’s branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain came due to its confidence in her experience and scientific background, and her research contributions in various fields of education, learning and quality assurance, in addition to her work in continuous professional development, teaching skills and innovative academic practices, to raise the performance of faculty members at the University.
The President of UoB, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, congratulated the Director of the Excellence in Education and Leadership Skills Unit at the University, noting that this honorable election by the international Association clearly indicates the positive impact of the cadres of UoB and their high status in the aspects of university education.
The Association is one of the fastest growing platforms concerned with higher education, and focuses on developing and serving the global higher education community through intellectual leadership and professional development, granting opportunities and scholarships, teaching and learning practice in higher education, publishing scientific research, and holding international conferences. Also, it focuses on four main areas: global networks and interdisciplinary collaboration, academic research, innovation and publishing, higher education development and capacity building, and rights and sustainability. Accordingly, the Association chose Dr. Al-Jahromi is a judge in its awards, and a member of the advisory editorial board of the scientific journal “Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education” (JAHRE), which is an international journal classified on various databases and cooperates with the international publishing house EMERALD.
On her part, Dr. Al-Jahromi expressed her pride in this election, calling on all members of higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain to join the network and benefit from all its programs. It is worth noting that Dr. Al-Jahromi has more than 18 years of experience in university education, and has a number of scientific awards, in addition to numerous research published in journals and refereed books on Scopus databases.
