The challenge tested students’ general knowledge and accounting concepts, which they acquired during their educational journey, in three competitive rounds that lasted approximately two hours. The first round consisted of multiple-choice questions, and the second round consisted of an accounting crossword puzzle, while the final round was a rapid fire round with higher level questions.
Afterwards, ACCA awarded valuable prizes and certificates of appreciation to the first three winning teams.
For his part, the Head of the Accounting Department at the College of Business Administration, Dr. Abdullah Khaled Al-Jalahma, stressed the importance of such partnerships with professional bodies that play a prominent role in preparing students for the labor market, by developing their academic and professional capabilities, and providing them with the required skills. Adding that students’ participation in these events contributes to enhancing their general abilities, and therefore the Accounting Department is determined to continue organizing such competitions and events, in cooperation with ACCA.
The Challenge was moderated by Associate Professor, Department of Accounting, Dr. Gagan Kukreja, who guided the students through the three rounds of the competition, in which laptops, calculators, and some electronic applications were used.
