The University of Bahrain (UoB) announced that it has joined the National Suggestion and Complaint System (Tawasul). In cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), Tawasul will provide a new channel for the University to communicate directly and more efficiently with citizens and residents.

UoB President Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki said that the University seeks to continuously enhance its services, including its digital platform. She affirmed that this move comes in line with the directives of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which stress on the importance of continuous development in all services sectors.

Dr. Al-Mudhahki affirmed that services are expected to improve following the University’s adoption of the Tawasul system. This includes efficiently resolving all issues received and swiftly implementing applicable suggestions. She said, “This program will enhance our cooperation with the public, opening the door for their suggestions and inquiries about various services offered by UoB.”

UOB’s president stressed the importance of remaining up to date in its interactions with all its stakeholders. Al-Mudhaki said, “The university seeks to keep pace with technological developments in the facilitation of its procedures and services.”

The University launched the Student Service Centre in 2019 to deal with inquiries, complaints and suggestions, and it will interact with the public through Tawasul for all non-student services. Al-Mudhaki explained that UoB’s strategic plan calls for the digital transformation of its educational and administrative services to improve efficiency. She added that steps will be taken to address complaints, suggestions and inquiries submitted by the university’s stakeholders and the public.

The system is available on the National Portal, bahrain.bh, or through the Tawasul application, which can be downloaded through the Government App Store, bahrain.bh/apps.

Launched in January 2014, Tawasul works around the clock to deal with suggestions, inquiries or complaints related to government agencies. So far, 48 government entities have joined its platform.
