In Preparation for Final Exams, New Students at the University of Bahrain Get to Know the University Premises and its Academic and Administrative Services

About 4,000 new male and female students at the University of Bahrain participated in field visits to the university premises in Sakhir, during which they learned about the academic and administrative departments, college premises, and examination halls, in preparation for doing their final exams on campus.
The University of Bahrain had adopted distance learning as part of the precautionary measures declared by the national team to combat the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), which prevented new students from attending university premises.
In this context, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fatima Mohammad Al-Maliki, explained, during her meeting with the students, that such field visits aim to prepare students academically and psychologically, facilitate doing final exams on campus, and introduce them to professors, administrative officials, and administrative and service departments at the university. She urged students to prepare for final exams, bring their own tools and materials and avoid exchanging them with other students, adhere to social distancing measures, wear masks inside campus buildings and exam halls, and use sterilizers constantly.
Dr. Al-Maliki stressed the importance of adhering to university laws and regulations, and urged students to review the university’s bylaws, regulations and instructions available in the university website, benefit from the services available through “Consult Your Advisor” application as well as other services provided by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the academic and administrative departments. She also emphasized on following up the university news and announcements through the official channels, including the website of the University of Bahrain, the university Instagram account, and the university social media accounts.
Dr. Al-Maliki also urged students to download the application of the University of Bahrain (UOBAPP), which contains a map of the university to enable students to easily find the locations of classrooms, exam halls, university premises and departments. In addition, the application contains the academic calendar and services students need while studying at the university and other options that help students conduct their university transactions.
It is scheduled that the social counselors will be available in the university premises to assist, guide and direct students during the period in which they will attend the university to take their final exams.
