In the Midst of National, Cultural, Heritage and Recreational Atmosphere, the University of Bahrain Holds a Joyful Celebration On the Occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom Of Bahrain

The University of Bahrain started its program to celebrate the national holidays, under the slogan: “The True Essence of the People of Bahrain”, on Tuesday December 14, 2021 under the patronage of the President of the University, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahki. Celebrations will continue until Wednesday December 15, 2021.

At the beginning of the celebration, the President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, extended her congratulations to the wise leadership, the honorable government, all affiliates of the University of Bahrain, and all the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of the glorious National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab and Muslim state, founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the throne.

Dr. Al-Mudhahki expressed the university’s pride at organizing this celebration. She stated, “We celebrate together the National Day of our dear country, and the anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country to the throne. On this occasion, I and all affiliates of the University of Bahrain have the honor to extend our sincere congratulations to our wise leadership, headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and the honorable government. I am also pleased to congratulate all the academians, administrators, students, and all Bahraini people on the glorious National Day.

Dr. Al-Mudhahki explained, at this ceremony which was attended by a large number of administrative and academic bodies and students, that this occasion “is coinciding this year with a time in which the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing more steady and rapid growth in economic indicators, as well as various indicators of sustainable development, in the different sectors, praise be to God Almighty. Full commitment to the contents of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him resulted in the successive national and economic achievements made by the honorable government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minster, in line with Bahrain Vision 2030.

President of UoB stressed that, “The University seeks excellence through providing the best services, infrastructure, environment of creativity and educational attainment as well as various extra-curricular activities and programs that motivate students to create and innovate. They also prepare and qualify students to engage in the labor market, and contribute to the comprehensive development process through educational outcomes compatible with the highest levels of education quality and international criteria, based on the university’s prominent position at the top of the pyramid of university education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its pivotal responsibility in speeding up progress.”

Dr. Al-Mudhahki added, “The current stage that the country is witnessing is a clear example of the flexibility of the economy of the Kingdom, and its ability to cope with various challenges, including those of the educational sector, which proved, during the past year that it is strong enough to face challenges, no matter how difficult they are, and respond to circumstances, no matter how harsh they are.

For her part, the Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fatima Mohammad Al-Malki, welcomed the students and members of the administrative and educational bodies, who participated in the celebrations at the university’s premises in Sakhir. She expressed her happiness to meet them and stated, “This year, we are extremely happy to celebrate our glorious National Day with our students, after prolonged absence, due to the circumstances imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19). I am very glad that you are attending the joyful celebrations of the National Day. Once again, I welcome you in your national university.”

The ceremony was also attended by the vice presidents of the President of the University, deans of colleges, heads of departments and employees of the university. They all watched a musical performance of the Bahrain Defense Force Music Band, as well as performances by college students, and education centers. The President of the University, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, started the celebrations at 10:00 am.

The university made the preparations for this important occasion a while ago. The entrances and courtyards of the university buildings were decorated and lit in red and white. Students and members of the academic and administrative bodies wore scarves with Bahrain flag, as an expression of loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership.
