The international database (Scopus) has listed the papers of the Third Smart Cities Forum, organized by the University of Bahrain in 2020, in its research network.
This took place after the listing of the same scientific papers on the databases of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in the United States of America, and the global Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), which is based in London.
The University of Bahrain organized the annual forum in September 2020, in which experts in the fields of smart cities from the government and private sectors participated.
The Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fouad Mohammad Al-Ansari, stated that “Such listing by these prestigious institutions demonstrates the quality and novelty of the published research papers, and their significant contributions to the fields of smart cities.”
Dr. Al-Ansari added, “123 research papers have fulfilled international scientific requirements and publishing criteria. Therefore, they have been listed in the Scopus database. We are proud that the Forum content is compliant with the most prestigious scientific requirements.”
The forum discussed topics related to smart cities, such as protection systems and challenges thereof in smart cities, the health sector and restructuring thereof according to smart systems, transportation, educational networks, sustainability, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and its applications in smart cities.
