On the Anniversary of Founding the Supreme Council for Women… The University President Stresses the Importance of The Council’s Contributions to Bahraini Women’s Journey

On the twenty-first anniversary of the founding of the Supreme Council for Women, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, President of the University of Bahrain, extended her warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Country, to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the King’s consort, President of the Supreme Council for Women. As the Council had many contributions to Bahraini women’s journey , and played a great role in many Bahraini women’s assumption of leadership positions in the public and private sectors and bringing women’s issues to the top of priorities on the overall level.
In these cables, the University President mentioned the important roles played by the Council in the advancement of Bahraini women, raising their status, and developing legislation related to women and the family, praising the great role played by the Council during these years, which resulted in many Bahraini women attaining leadership positions in the public and private sectors, their great presence in legislative councils, and their representation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields: scientific, sports, political, economic, and others, which indicates the Council’s pivotal and central role in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s development.
