Out Of 10 University Teams Six Teams from UOB Qualify for The Finals of The National Company Program Competition

Six teams from the University of Bahrain (UoB) qualified for the finals of the National Company Programs Competition organized by the “INJAZ Bahrain”, among ten teams in the universities category for the years 2021/2022.
On this occasion, the President of UoB, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, congratulated the qualified teams, praising the efforts and initiatives of INJAZ Bahrain, which aim to support and develop the youth sector in the Kingdom, stating that “The enthusiasm, spirit of innovation and initiative that characterizes the students of the University of Bahrain is admirable, and therefore it receives all support and facilitation from the University Administration, in the hope of seeing the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain push their creativity and innovation to their maximum limits.”
Among the teams qualified for the final stage was “Eden Art” team, with a project to establish a digital company to sell high-quality art products at reasonable prices, to support local production and promote the idea of a creative economy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through research and development of artistic products, and transforming them into a local industry.
Members of the (Digit Budget) team participated in a project to create an electronic platform and a smartphone application, aiming to create an enjoyable and easy shopping experience for the customer, which also encourage budget control and spending, and alert the user when they are about to exceed the budget they have set. In addition to creating a generation that is conscious, seeks to set an economic goal, and has a personal financial awareness.
While the (Mirage) team has implemented a project for a company that intends to transform the virtual world into reality, by creating a three-dimensional image, which displays two-dimensional images and videos from a flat screen through a hologram, as three-dimensional shapes, which are more fascinating and entertaining to watch.
Also, the (Maktabat) team worked to create a digital platform that connects the reader to all local libraries through a single application, which includes various book categories from several stores, and facilitates searching and accessing books.
Members of the (WARMED) team worked on a device that heats coffee and keeps it warm for 25 minutes, which is a product that serves customers who buy coffee and want to enjoy their drink warm.
In addition, the (Reqahwa) team participated with a coffee recycling project, by taking the coffee residues that will end up in the trash, and considering them as a valuable resource that is reused to make innovative products that benefit people and the environment.
It is worth mentioning that the “Company” program in INJAZ Bahrain provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience, develop their entrepreneurial skills and critical thinking, and provide them with the opportunity to start, organize and operate actual entrepreneurial companies in their local communities.
