President of UoB: Broadening Joint Cooperation with Bahrain Institute for Political Development

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, stressed the importance of expanding the areas of joint cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), in a way that contributes to promoting a culture of citizenship in Bahraini society.
This came when the President of the University received Dr. Sheikha Mai bint Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, and the Executive Director of the Institute, Eman Faisal Janahi, at the University’s headquarters in Sakhir on Sunday (21 November 2021).
The President of UoB pointed out that these relations contribute greatly to the development of human cadres and the consolidation of the foundations of cooperation between the various national institutions, to meet the requirements of sustainable development and future changes, praising the valuable research contributions of the Institute in advancing the democratic process in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which foundations were established by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On her part, Dr. Sheikha Al-Otaibi, said that UoB is rich in youth energies, as its graduates have effectively contributed to the political life in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a large number of them have participated in the activities and events held by the Institute over the past years, stressing that many of the programs of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development are directed to the youth of the country as they are the driving force for the expected positive changes.
It is worth mentioning that UoB signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development last May (2021), to build national partnerships.
In reference to joint cooperation, UoB supports the Institute with specialized academic cadres to accomplish the Institute’s activities and events, and the two sides cooperate in preparing training programs related to qualifying the University’s expected graduates for the labor market, as it attaches great importance to students pay in order to build their scientific and knowledge future.
