Prof. Hamzah Receives the Italian Ambassador and a Delegation from the University of Bologna 

 

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Prof. Riyad Yousif Hamzah, received in his office on Sunday (23 May 2021), the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Her Excellency Mrs. Paula Amadi, along with the Director of the John XXIII Foundation for Religious Studies Prof. Alberto Melloni, Professor of Law and Chair of Comparative Constitutional Law at the University of Bologna Prof. Dr. Suzanna Mancini.  

The President of the University reviewed the programs of the University’s colleges and its most prominent projects with the Italian Ambassador and the accompanying delegation. Also, the President of the University gave the Ambassador a presentation on the University’s development plans and its academic and research interests. 

While the Italian delegation presented the academic programs at the University, especially legal studies at the University of Bologna, and the areas of cooperation between the two sides were also studied of exchange programs for faculty members and students, teaching the Italian and Arabic languages, and cooperation in the field of scientific research and joint academic programs. 

The meeting was attended by the Acting Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Salah Mohammed Ahmed, and the Director of the Quality Assurance Office at the College of Law, Dr. Wafaa Jassim Al-Wafi from UoB, and by the Executive Assistant to the Ambassador, Laura Peto, from the Italian side.
