The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Prof. Riyad Yousif Hamzah, urged all the University employees, academics, administrators, and students, to take the initiative and take the Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, as this supports the official efforts to combat this epidemic.
After taking the vaccine on Tuesday (22 December 2020) at Bahrain International Exhibition Center, Prof. Hamza stated that “The Kingdom of Bahrain has made strenuous efforts since the beginning of the pandemic until it was able to obstruct it with the least possible losses, and that is only by the grace of God Almighty, and the noble and high directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the wise management of the crisis since its beginning, which was assumed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus, and front lines workers.”, praising the wonderful community cooperation as well.
He further added, “His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s reference to the importance of continuing to adhere to the precautionary measures to address the Coronavirus, clearly indicates that the danger still exists, and caution in this period is required, so as not to regress all the mighty efforts that were made in the previous period.”
A large number of the University affiliates had applied and registered to take the vaccine in the next few days.
