Seminar Highlights Bahraini Women’s Contributions to Fine Arts

A seminar at the University of Bahrain highlighted the prominent contributions of Bahraini women to the fine arts scene in the Kingdom.

 

The event featured Bayan Al Barrak, Director and Founder of Al Riwaq Art Space, Dr. Mayasa Sultan Al-Sowaidi, Faculty Member at the College of Business Administration, and artist and trainer Khalil Al-Madhoon. The session was moderated by Mariam Anwar Ahmed, faculty member at the Department of Media, Tourism, and Arts in the College of Arts.

 

The seminar showcased the visibility of Bahraini women in fine arts, the university’s role in nurturing the talents of creative female students, and its partnership in supporting Bahrain’s artistic movement. It also explored the historical contributions of Bahraini women to fine arts.
