Thai University Delegation Discusses Cooperation with UoB

Prof. Riyad Y. Hamzah, President of University of Bahrain, emphasized the importance of establishing cooperation with universities that focus on scientific research, especially since this would have a profound and positive impact on both sides and offer new ideas and approaches for solving problems.

During a meeting with a delegation from Prince Songkla University (PSU) in Thailand which was attended by the Thai Ambassador to the Kingdom, His Excellency Mr. Chayapan Bamrungphong, Prof. Hamzah said the University has many facets of cooperation with Thailand’s universities and research centers. Prof. Hamza expressed his interest in discussing further mutually beneficial cooperation.

The two sides reviewed the colleges, programs and research centers at both the University of Bahrain and the University of Songkla. The delegation also visited the University centers and expressed its admiration for the continuous progress made by the University of Bahrain, especially in its academic programs and accreditation, as well as its advanced infrastructure and equipment.

Prince Songkla University (PSU) as the first government university to be founded in southern Thailand, consists of five university campuses, comprising of 39 colleges, an academic institute, four hospitals and more than 40 scientific research centres. It offers 287 academic programmes in various degrees and has more than 40 thousand students.
