The Current Generation of Digital Students Is Changing the Reality of Education.. The College Of Arts at University Of Bahrain Is Preparing to Obtain International Academic Accreditation

The Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammad Bulaila declared that the college is preparing to obtain academic accreditation, expecting completion of reviews by the British Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC) during the next academic year.
Dr. Bulaila made this statement during a lecture he gave on the issues and developments of academic quality in the college, during the scientific week of the College of Arts, which was recently organized by the Office of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation in the College, under the patronage of the Dean of the College.
During the lecture, the Director of the Office of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the College of Arts of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Amani Sayed Moosa Al-Halwachi, addressed the details of the college’s preparation of the application file for international accreditation from the British Agency, and the advantages of this step.
Dr. Al-Halwachi stated, “One of the most important advantages of international accreditation is the development of quality management systems in the college in line with international criteria, and improvement of the quality of inputs, processes, outputs, management, and services provided. She noted that international accreditation enhances trust in the educational programs offered by the College and the quality of its outputs, attracts distinguished professors from outside Bahrain to work in the college, and increases the chances of graduates to get work opportunities or do graduate studies inside and outside Bahrain.”
The lecture addressed the importance of keeping pace with global changes in the field of teaching methods, especially with the rapid regional and global developments, and the occurrence of radical changes in the nature of the intellectual and social formation of new generations of students as well as future generations.
Dr. Al-Halwachi stated, “At the University, we are receiving digital generations that do not depend on the teacher entirely to obtain information, or train for skills that are easy to get access to through the Internet.” She stressed that “this generation is changing the current work structures and management styles, and a large number of current jobs will disappear with the digital revolution and artificial intelligence.”
Dr. Al-Halwachi added, “Therefore, teachers should prepare well for this transformation, through continuously developing their skills related to educational technology, and employing modern and interactive teaching methods.”
