The Digital Business Systems Forum Launches Today at UoB  

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Prof. Dr. Riyad Yousif Hamzah, the work of the fourth edition of the Digital Business Systems Forum will be launched at UoB today, Monday (22 March 2021), on the electronic communication platform (MS Teams). 

The Chair of the Forum’s Organizing Committee, Assistant Professor in the Information Systems Department at the College of Information Technology, Dr. Noora Hassan Al-Ghattam, said that the Forum will discuss how to consolidate the values ​​of entrepreneurship that focus on solutions, and invest the available opportunities provided by the Covid _19 pandemic, to support start-up companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to benefiting from the expertise and successful experiences in digital entrepreneurship. 

Dr. Al-Ghattam explained that the Forum will discuss the role of the Dubai Business Women Council in supporting women entrepreneurs and the experience of the Covid _ 19 pandemic, the role of higher education in promoting entrepreneurship, and the experience of creating the “Kolibrie” application to support entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. 

Moreover, she confirmed that the Forum will host experts and specialists from the Dubai Business Women Council, University College London, and Tilburg University, indicating that the Forum is an open opportunity for discussion and debate with students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and institutions in the public and private sectors.
