The President of the University of Bahrain Inspects the Progress of Work on the First Day of the Academic Year

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahki, confirmed that thousands of UoB students attended the University on the first day of the current academic year 2022/2023, after studying online for nearly two years due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Dr. Al-Mudhaki expressed her satisfaction with students’ interaction with the University and meeting with their professors. She pointed out that the University has prepared a variety of extra-curricular activities and events that enrich the life of the university student and refine his personality.

The President of the University of Bahrain made this statement while taking a campus tour with some university officials. She met with the deans and students to learn about the course of the first day, ensure the smooth flow of the educational process, and listen to observations and suggestions.

During her conversation with the students about the issue of public transportation to and from the University, Dr. Al-Mudhaki stressed the university’s keenness to provide students with the best services, particularly transportation services. She added that the University continues to coordinate with the concerned authorities to facilitate students’ access to the University, through offering more lines and buses for students to move to and from the three campuses of the University.

Dr. Al-Mudhaki wished the students a successful university year, stressing that students can contact the Student Service Center to communicate their observations and suggestions that university administration will take into account to develop and enhance university life.

The President of the University also extended her thanks and appreciation to the General Directorate of Traffic for holding a traffic awareness campaign for students and its active contribution to organizing traffic at the University’s western gate to facilitate the entry of students and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
