The President of the University of Bahrain Receives the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen AlMudhahki, received on Wednesday March 9, 2022 the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Kieran Okahon, at the university’s premises in Sakhir, to discuss joint cooperation in the fields of engineering, business administration and scientific research.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al Mudhahki congratulated the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, on the occasion of his appointment to his position, wishing him every success. She also lauded the distinguished efforts made by Bahrain Polytechnic for developing the academic and practical fields.
The president of the university stressed the importance of integration of higher education institutions to enhance national competencies. She referred to the experience of the University of Bahrain in the field of university education, and availing various specializations and student services with the aim of graduating cadres able to meet the needs of the local and international labor markets.
For his part, Dr. Okahon expressed his happiness with the good reception, and lauded the support the education sector and higher education institutions receive in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The two parties discussed opportunities for joint cooperation, training in vocational skills and entrepreneurship, and lifelong education, to prepare graduates able to engage successfully in the professional life, compete in the labor market and excel in scientific research.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Information Technology, Administration and Finance, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, Dean of the College of Information Technology, Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Baqer, and Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering, Dr. Fouad Mohammad Al-Ansari from the University of Bahrain, and the Chief of Guidance and Career Development Center Mr. Abdulredha Dismal from Bahrain Polytechnic.
