The President of the University of Bahrain Thanks His Highness Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad and Lauds the Outcomes of ‘Huawei Seeds” Program

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahki, expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, for sponsoring the (Huawei Seeds) program. Dr. Al Mudhahki noted that this generous sponsorship would support the program and motivate Bahraini youth to move forward in the creative and competitive fields, which would enhance their individual and collective capabilities.

 

The President of the University of Bahrain lauded the outcomes of the program, which attracted students and graduates. She congratulated all the winners, and in particular the students of the University of Bahrain, noting the role of the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in supporting young people, providing them with skills, and encouraging them to work hard in the various creative fields to fulfill the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, to empower and support young people.

 

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa sponsored a ceremony to honor graduates of (Huawei Seeds) program, in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, His Excellency Minister of Labor Mr. Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, His Excellency Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Mr. Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, and Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Anwar Habibullah, Huawei Regional CEO Mr. William Hu, and Huawei Chief Executive Officer in the Kingdom of Bahrain Ethan Sun.

 

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad honored the distinguished graduates of the program, the supporting and collaborating bodies, and universities, expressing his appreciation for the role played by Huawei in providing training programs for young people in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the collaboration of all parties, which contributed to the success of the program, and achieving its noble goals.

 

 

The President of the University of Bahrain met with the winning students in the Huawei Seeds program, which is one of the advanced sport programs organized by Huawei in different parts of the world. She congratulated them on winning, discussed with them the extent to which they benefited from the program, and urged them to transfer their experience to their colleagues.

 

It is worthy to note that the program was launched for the first time in 2008, and it currently includes more than 12,000 students benefiting from the program, in more than 137 countries and territories around the world.
