The President of UoB Receives Dr. Al-Mannai and Praises His Scientific Giving

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, praised the continuous scientific giving of the educational researcher, Dr. Shamsan Abdullah Al-Mannai, and his enrichment of the Arabic library with valuable publications.
This came during the reception of Dr. Al-Mannai at the University’s headquarters in Sakhir, where she stated that working in the educational field is one of the most prominent interests of UoB, as it provides renewed visions and theses in the field of interaction between teachers and students, taking into account the developments in this framework, the impact of technology in education, and the renewed role of the instructor in the learning process.
Also, Dr. Al-Mannai presented a copy of his new book to the President of the University, which was recently issued under the title “Critical Thinking”, discussing multiple topics on critical thinking strategies, its advantages and dimensions, the role of critical thinking in education and the importance of the educational system developing this type of thinking among students in order to produce generations that are more aware of their surroundings and what is happening around them.
Dr. Al-Mannai thanked the President of the University for her reception of him, pointing out that UoB constitutes a major station in his working life that he is proud of, as he worked as a professor at the College of Education at the University, and later at the Bahrain Teachers College for numerous years. Furthermore, he indicated that the interest of the educational systems in general, and the university systems in particular, about critical thinking, is one of the important means of development and advancement.
