The President of UoB Receives the First Place Winner in the Padel Competition

On Tuesday (21 December 2021), the President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, received the employee of the Finance Department at the University, Abdullah Mohammed, and congratulated him on the occasion of winning – with his brother Omar – the first place in the Padel competition for the National Day, which was held under the patronage of the President of the Supreme Committee of Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with the participation of 100 teams and more than 200 male and female players, who competed in seven different categories.
Dr. Al-Mudhahki expressed her pleasure at this achievement, stating that: “This victory is a source of pride and honor, and confirms that UoB is rich with many brilliant people, with skills and capabilities in various fields.” Also, she emphasized that UoB encourages its members to participate in scientific, cultural and sports competitions, which contribute to refining skills and enriching experiences.
On his part, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed thanked the University President, and considered her reception of him an incentive and encouragement for integrated self-development, whether in the practical or personal aspects, which is positively reflected on the employee’s performance.
The Padel Club competition was organized on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of its national day, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state during the era of its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh as an Arab Muslim state in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the reins of government.
