The University Of Bahrain and the United Nations Development Program Meet to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen AlMudhaki, lauded the strong relations with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), noting that these relations date back to several decades ago. She added that cooperation between UoB and UNDP resulted in several initiatives that positively impacted students and university academians.
AlMudhaki made this statement during the meeting held between UoB and Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP Firas Gharaibeh, and Development Program Officer, Jehan Al-Morbati, at the university premises in Sakhir on Monday, April 18, 2022. The President of the University congratulated Mr. Gharaibeh on his appointment to this position wishing him every success in his role.
The meeting addressed opportunities for future cooperation between the two parties. The team of UoB reviewed the development initiatives the university is currently undertaking, the ambitions academic programs the university has introduced in the past few years and their interconnection with the UNDP, and the University’s quest to achieve sustainable development goals the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to.
For his part, Mr. Gharaibeh stated, “There are more opportunities for further cooperation with UoB, being the national university comprising integrated facilities and highly competent academians, as well as distinguished students capable of transforming their dreams in various development aspects into reality.”
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Information Technology Services and Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, the Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Mohammad Mustafa Al-Helou, the Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Salah Mohammad Ahmed, advisor to the President of UoB for Academic Affairs Dr. Diaa Saqr Al-Jalahma, the director of Media Center Dr. Mazen Mohammad Ali, and the he head of the University’s Projects Committee Dr. Fouad Mohammad Al-Ansari.
