To Benefit from the University’s Studios and Cadres UoB Discusses the Production of Informational Materials for IT Staff With NCSC

In a meeting with the National Center for Cyber Security (NCSC) at the Ministry of Interior, the University of Bahrain (UoB) discussed ways of cooperation and coordination to benefit from the media expertise and facilities available at the University. To produce media material related to the basic security controls of cybersecurity for information technology employees working in the public and private sectors in cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Ansari, chaired the meeting that discussed coordination between the two parties to produce and design short videos summarizing cybersecurity standards at the national level, using the academic capabilities and competences at UoB.
Representatives of NCSC expressed the desire to benefit from UoB’s resources in the process of producing videos, and providing academic cadres with expertise in this field, in addition to benefiting from students help in the production of a series of related videos. While the Vice President welcomed all forms of cooperation with the Center to strengthen cyber security in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is one of the most important security issues that accompany the individual and institutional expansion of Internet use.
From UoB, the meeting was attended by the Vice President for Information Technology Services, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Bulaila, Assistant Professor in the Department of Media, Tourism and Arts, Dr. Maha Sami Al-Rashed, the Head of the Career Guidance Division at the Career Guidance Office, Ohood Abdulhamid Talib, and the Head of the Professional Relations Division at the Vocational Guidance Office, Abeer Salman Al-Faqawi, in addition to specialists from NCSC including the Director of the Cyber Policy Department, Yousef Mohammed Muthanna, and a team of cadres from the center .
