University of Bahrain and Gulf House Engineering Discuss Developments of Moving the College of Engineering to the University’s Campus in Sakhir

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahka, and the team of Gulf House Engineering discussed the latest developments of the project of moving the College of Engineering to the university’s campus in Sakhir.

Dr. Al Mudhahka indicated that the Japanese company Tange Associates, in cooperation with Gulf House Engineering Company, has completed the designs, architectural and planning drawings and landscaping, and the construction tender is expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2023.

The University President discussed with the project team, headed by Dr. Suhail Al-Masry, the interior design of the prestigious college, and the furnishing of its halls and laboratories.

Dr. Al Mudhahka praised the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Works and the University Projects Committee in moving forward with the project. The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Information Technology, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, Vice President for Academic Programs and postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Sheikha Haifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and the head of the Projects Committee, Dr. Fouad Mohammad Al-Ansari from the UoB, as well as Engineer Dalal Alarayedh , Head of the Civil Architecture Department in the Ministry of Works.

Dr. Al Mudhahkanoted that the University is proceeding with the project of moving the College of Engineering to Sakhir campus, stressing the importance of concerted efforts to overcome any difficulties related to increasing energy supplies and developing infrastructure.

For his part, the head of Gulf House Engineering team, Dr. Suhail Al-Masry, extended his thanks to the University President for following up on the project details and developments , and striving to overcome any difficulties. He noted that the company is keen to work with the University team for an optimal accomplishment of the project.
