University of Bahrain and the US Embassy Discuss Enhancing Educational and Cultural Collaboration

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahka, affirmed that the University aspires to further coordination with universities and research institutions in the United States of America in the fields of education and culture, through collaboration with the Embassy of the United States of America in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Upon receiving the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Stephen Bondy on Tuesday September 20, 2022, Dr. Al Mudhahka indicated that the American education is distinguished with focusing on the practical dimension and encouraging creative and independent thinking, expressing the University of Bahrain’s aspiration for integration in education with prestigious American universities.
The two parties held talks with the participation of the public affairs officer at the embassy, Linda McMullen, and the education specialist at the embassy, Samar Hassan, to discuss educational and cultural affairs and aspects of collaboration between the University of Bahrain and its American counterparts.
Dr. Al Mudhahka stated, “We take pride in our long-established relations with many American higher education institutions and look forward to strengthening them in a way that would contribute to exchanging experiences, visits, and conducting joint scientific research. She reaffirmed that UoB aspires for more collaboration in all aspects.
For his part, the American Ambassador extended thanks to the University President for the hospitality and warm reception, stressing that the embassy is keen on reinforcing cooperation between the University of Bahrain and higher education institutions in the United States as well as promoting the historic academic relations between the two parties.
Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Saleh Al-Ansari, Vice President for IT, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Mohammad Al-Jowder, Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, and Assistant Professor at the College of Technology Information, Dr. Amal Mohammed Al Rayes, attended the meeting.
