University of Bahrain and University of Bolton signed a MoU towards developing a “high performing engineering” programs

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Professor Riyad Yousif Hamzah, The president of the University of Bahrain and Professor George Holmes, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, United of Kingdom, on Oct 13th 2016, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.

This Memorandum of understanding sets out the key objectives of cooperation between the two parties with the goal working towards developing joint programs in the area of high performing engineering.

The university of Bahrain seeks to expand its offer within the current engineering college and provide programs that lead the regional market in terms of relevance and developing high quality graduates with unique skills.

For the University of Bahrain to achieve their ambition, the university will need to draw on the strengths of the University of Bolton in several key areas.

Key areas of cooperation include:

  • To work in partnership in establishing a joint program in motorsport engineering
  • To work in partnership to review roader opportunities of pogrom collaboration within engineering
  • To share knowledge and experience regarding the future plans of a new building and labs for the college of engineering
  • Exchange of faulty
  • Exchange of students
  • Joint seminars and symposiums
  • To explore other areas on interest in addition to engineering
