UOB Academics Implement Project-based Learning

A recent workshop titled ‘Project-Based Learning: Guidelines and Effective Practices,’ organized by the Unit of Teaching Excellence and Leadership at UOB, provided faculty members with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop and implement project-based learning (PBL) in their curricula.
PBL is an effective teaching method that places students at the center of the learning process, requiring them to work collaboratively with peers over a set period to solve authentic, engaging, and complex challenges.
Dr. Haleema Kadhem, Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, College of Arts, led the workshop which aimed to equip faculty members with the knowledge and tools to enhance PBL practices, integrate its framework into curricula, and incorporate real-life examples and hands-on activities.
