UOB Affiliates Learn About Copyright and Academic Integrity

Academics and administrators at the University of Bahrain participated in a workshop titled ‘Copyright and Academic Integrity,’ organized by the University’s Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL).

The workshop, presented by Dr. Hanan Mohamed Almawla, Assistant Professor in the Department of Private Law at the College of Law, UOB, covered several topics, including an overview of intellectual property rights, the concept of copyright, authors’ rights under Bahraini law, and academic plagiarism according to the University’s policies.

The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with intellectual property rights, copyright, and academic plagiarism, as well as apply legal provisions to real-life scenarios and analyze the elements of academic plagiarism.
