UoB and MGIMO Agree on Mutual Cooperation

University of Bahrain and Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), a chief Russian university, have agreed on the main outlines of the mutual cooperation in order to benefit from the points of excellence, and exchange of professors and researchers in the common areas of both universities.

The Vice President for Academic Programmes and Higher Studies Prof. Waheeb Isa Al-Nasser has expressed the University wishes to build cooperation bridges with the well renowned Russian universities, especially in light of the growing efforts of the two countries to strengthen the mutual cooperation in various aspects. Prof. Waheeb praised the good reputation of MGIMO in a number of areas, specifically with the existence of highly specialized programmes that can support some academic programmes taught at UoB.

Igor Loginov, MGIMO Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Social Development, head of delegates of academics and students, provided a brief explanation about the university, its history and its future programmes.

The Russian delegation visited some scientific centres at the University of Bahrain to have a look at the different technologies available in these centres.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ali Mansoor Al Shehab, Vice President for Scientific Research, Dr Osama Abdulla Al-Juwder, Dean of Admission and Registration, and Dr Khalifa Yaseen Binarabi, the Director of the Department of Arabic language and Islamic Studies.
