UoB And RCSI Discuss Joint Scientific Cooperation

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, discussed cooperation and coordination in research and scientific aspects between UoB and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain (RCSI) – Medical University of Bahrain.
This came when Dr. Al-Mudhahki received the President of RCSI, Prof. Dr. Sameer Otoom, and the President of the College of Graduate Studies and Research at RCSI, Prof. Stephen Atkin.
The two sides reviewed means of cooperation, establishing joint research and scientific projects, and supporting researchers in both sides to conduct participatory research, whether by professors or students.
As Dr. Al-Mudhahki stated that: “The National University welcomes the strengthening of ties of cooperation and coordination with the Royal College of Surgeons in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it is a distinguished university affiliated with the mother college in the Republic of Ireland, which was established hundreds of years ago,” stressing that there are many opportunities for conducting participatory research and participating in scientific activities held by the two sides.
On their part, Prof. Otoom and Prof. Atkin thanked the President of the University for the warm reception, stressing their keenness to strengthen ties with the National University in various scientific, academic and research fields.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College of Sciences, Acting Dean of the College of Health Sciences at UoB, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Al-Hilo, the Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qadir, and Dr. Deyaa Saqer Al-Jalahma.
