UoB Celebrates the Anniversary of the National Action Charter

The University of Bahrain celebrated the anniversary of the National Action Charter by organizing a seminar titled “The National Action Charter: A National Vision Towards Modernization and Strengthening Citizenship”, on Thursday February 13 2025.
The seminar featured poet Dr. Rashid Najm Al-Najm, head of the Writers’ Family; writer Dr. Lulwa Hassan Bu Dulama; and Dr. Wafa Yaqoob Janahi, associate professor of civil law at the College of Law. The seminar was moderated by journalist Ghassan Yousif Al-Shehabi.
The seminar discussed the legal and human rights principles enshrined in the constitution and their positive impact on the human rights environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It also highlighted the provisions of the National Action Charter regarding the protection and preservation of freedom of speech, which paved the way for Bahraini creatives to engage in more publishing and contributions across various fields. Likewise, the number of newspapers and publications has increased, providing greater opportunities for national writers.
The seminar also encouraged university students and youth in general to take advantage of the open environment fostered by the National Action Charter to enhance creativity and contribute to societal progress.
