The Dean of Admission and Registration at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Amal Zayed Al-Zayed, announced that the University will offer a number of academic courses at the level of 300 and 400 as electives, during the summer semester of the current academic year 2021/2022, and she explained that the announcement of these courses will take place during the summer semester’s pre-registration period on Thursday (May 5, 2022).
Also, Dr. Al-Zayed stated: “The summer semester is an optional semester provided by the University to facilitate and accelerate the graduation of students, and registration will be available according to the regular fees established at eight dinars per approved hour for Bahraini students, and 80 dinars per approved hour for those who do not hold Bahraini citizenship, in addition to an administrative fee allowance for operating the summer semester of 50 dinars.
UoB used to offer courses at level 100 and 200 in the summer semester, and many requests were received from students to offer courses for the next two levels (300 and 400) to facilitate their graduation in time and reduce the period of their college studies.
Dr. Al-Zayed explained that the number of courses and classes this summer will witness an increase of up to 47%, compared to what was proposed last summer, noting that the number of sections that will be offered will reach 250 sections.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Zayed stated that the Deanship of Admission and Registration is working on offering some courses that serve the students who are expected to graduate with the capabilities available in the academic departments.
