UoB President Discusses with the Indian Ambassador Expanding Cooperation with Leading Indian Academic Institutions

On Wednesday (5 January 2022), the President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, received His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava, at the University Campus in Sakhir.
Dr. Al-Mudhahki gave the Ambassador a presentation on the University’s plans, academic programs, initiatives and university partnerships, especially with Indian universities, expressing her hope to expand scientific partnerships with various universities in the friendly Republic of India. Also, she reviewed the University’s development projects, including the construction of the College of Engineering buildings on the University’s campus in Sakhir.
Ambassador Srivastava praised the University’s development plans, its role in comprehensive sustainable development, and the qualification of human resources to enhance creativity and entrepreneurship, noting the links it has with his country’s universities.
Also, prospects for cooperation between UoB and Indian universities and research centers, whose activities converge with those of the National University, were discussed during the meeting.
