UoB’s “Business Incubator” Holds the Entrepreneurship Skills Program

More than eighty male and female students are participating in the Entrepreneurship Skills Program, which is organized by the Business Incubation Center at the University of Bahrain (UoB), in addition to graduates of the University, who joined to benefit from this training program. The Center offers the program remotely from March to May 2022, for the University’s students from all colleges and specializations, and for graduates of UoB who are interested in learning about the world of entrepreneurship, acquiring skills and learning about the opportunities available to them in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Director of the Business Incubator Center, Dr. Esraa Ahmed Wali, confirmed that the Entrepreneurship Skills Program commenced its first week on March 21, 2022, which will extend for eight weeks, and it includes weekly capacity-building workshops, in which a number of prominent speakers of experts in the field of entrepreneurship as well as Bahraini entrepreneurs participate. The program provides students with an opportunity to meet with mentors to answer their questions and discuss various topics and transfer expertise and skills to them.
Furthermore, Dr. Wali added that the program will discuss several axes, namely: project idea and team formation, overcoming challenges, developing the relationship with customers, prototyping and validating the solution, business model and marketing strategy, customer attraction and product development, planning and financing for startup, and project presentation.
A number of speakers are scheduled to give lectures in the program, including Homiez’s Digital Executive Director, Sadeq Abdulrasool, founder of Axelerate Academy, Mohammed Issa, and CEO of IMPACTIC, Sahar Al-Baharna.
