UoB’s College of Business Administration Introduces Students to The Benefits of Pearson’s Platform “MyLab”

The College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain (UoB) organized a seminar titled “The Benefits of Pearson Platform – MyLab) for Students, in cooperation with Pearson Middle East, on Tuesday (1 November 2022), to review the advantages of Pearson platform and benefits of e-learning, as a flexible, reliable and effective educational method.
The session was moderated by assistant professor in the Accounting Department, Dr. Najeeba Abdullah Al-Zaimoor, who presented a summary on the importance of education using the Pearson platform, as a leading global education company that works to strengthen the educational system, referring to a number of Pearson textbooks that the College uses in accounting, economics, and marketing courses, from which both students and instructors’ benefit.
The seminar was delivered by the Ambassador of Pearson Campus – Middle East, Weam Ojour, a fourth-year computer engineering student at UoB, who introduced students to the features of Pearson platform (MYLAB), as it provides a mixture of content, curricula, assessment, training, and technology, to make education more appealing and effective. She also gave a live demonstration of how to use MyLab platform, which provides a dynamic study area, where classes can be saved and referenced when needed, and a personal study space can be used, in addition to the quiz feature to practice the material, solve some exercises and get instant answers, as well as using the e-text feature, adding notes to the lesson, and searching for glossary in the textbook.
The session was attended by Tariq Al-Ghandoor and Lamis Al-Hathbawi from Pearson Middle East, in addition to a number of students and members of the academic staff at the College. It is worth noting that the College of Business Administration is in constant cooperation with Pearson, to obtain curricula, applications, and other resources to support the educational process.
