With Participation of The UoB President Board Of Trustees of Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University Award for Scientific Production Meet in Cairo and Approve Award Specifics

Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), participated in the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University Award for Best Scientific Production, which was held on Monday (July 25, 2022), at the headquarters of Ain Shams University in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, President of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd.
Where the Board discussed approving the statute of the award, in addition to approving the official logo, application requirements, and the award topics. The Board also discussed the award’s estimated budget for the first year, the date for launching the award, with its total prizes amounting to $250,000 and limiting participation to universities in the Association of Arab Universities.
Members of the Board: Dr. Amro Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Adnan Badran, former Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr. Mohammed Awadh Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Egypt for Health and Preventive Affairs, and Dr. Mahmood Al-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, in addition to Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, President of UoB attended the meeting.
This award is one of the initiatives of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University at the Arab world level, which was launched during the fifty-third session of the Union’s Conference, and aims to promote scientific research and applied research, and raise the level of scientific research in the Arab world.
The award categories include: the best scientific production in scientific research, the best scientific production in leadership and innovation, the best scientific production in technology and digital transformation, and the best joint scientific research between Arab and international universities.
Launching this award comes within the framework of the University’s societal and scientific responsibility, and as an affirmation of its prominent role in enriching scientific research, advancing its progress and prosperity, and encouraging researchers in the Arab world to conduct more distinguished scientific research.
