With The Participation of UoB E-Learning Officials in the GCC Discuss Equivalency of Open Platform Courses and Practical Training Difficulties

The Director of the E-Learning Center at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Sheikha Fai bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, is participating in the meeting of e-learning officials at universities and higher education institutions in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is hosted by King Khalid University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Fai Bint Abdullah Al Khalifa stated that the meeting – which will be held on June 15-16, 2022 – will discuss several topics, the most important of which are: the equivalency of courses of open platforms in university education, the guide, and the challenges and difficulties facing member universities in curricula that need practical training.
Moreover, the Director of the E-Learning Center stated that among the issues that will be discussed – during the four sessions of the meeting – is a study of the possibility of creating an educational platform for the universities of GCC countries, presenting best practices in how to overcome the negatives of fully applying e-learning, and creating a database that serves specialists and researchers in the field of e-learning for the GCC countries.
The meeting witnessed a presentation of several experiences in the field of e-learning in member state universities, such as: the experience of King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, as well as the experience of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in academic advising, in addition to the experience of Jeddah University for the fourth generation of education.
